Deep Seabed Mining info is created to shed some light on the deep seabed mining topic and make it much more understandable for everyone.
My journey with deep seabed mining started in 2018 when I enrolled in a specialized LL.M. program for environmental law.The most interesting subject was the law of the sea where I learned and fell in love with the deep seabed mining topic. Since then, my research has been fully focused on the topic and it resulted in an LL.M thesis - The Role of International Environmental Principles in the ISA’s Decision-Making. Later, I deepened my knowledge by attending courses, webinars, and conferences. Eventually, I had a chance to teach at university, speak on the radio and spread my knowledge and passion for the topic.
Since 2018, the project that I invested the most in was the Deep Seabed Mining Blog that I contributed to continuously for around two years. Nevertheless, after two years of working on the Deep Seabed Mining Blog, it is time for changes.
When I started writing about deep seabed mining was in a distant and barely foreseeable future when I started to write about it. Now it is a well-known and popular topic.
Thus, to correspond to changes and deep seabed mining’s final evolution from more theory to practice - commercial mining, I present you my new project - Deep Seabed Mining info website.
It is an improved version of the Deep Seabed Mining Blog that includes two new sections:
First, the News section where the biggest and most important changes in deep seabed mining will be collected so there would not be a need to search for any more news to be fully updated about changes.
Second, the Q&A section is where those who want to quickly and efficiently pave the most essential and basic knowledge about deep seabed mining avoid all unnecessary struggles.
The Blog section will remain the same. It will remain the core part of the website to remember why it was started and how it began. So it will be a bit less formal and focus on my views and impressions.
Thank you for reading all that, and let’s enjoy the deep seabed mining topic together!
